A Little About Me
I started my journey in 1998 to help children by receiving a Master’s Degree in Elementary School Counseling from the Pennsylvania State University. I worked as an elementary school counselor in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
I trained to become a grief volunteer facilitator in 2004 for the Safe Harbor Program at Abington Hospital in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. Safe Harbor is a center that facilitates support groups for children/teens who are grieving a significant loss. The center has a volcano room, art rooms, sand table, and a stuffed animal room for opening circle. I am currently a facilitator for the 9-to-10 age group. Safe Harboroffers a week long camp in the summercalledCamp Charlie.
